The Weekend Festivities
Gretta and I are delighted you can attend our wedding weekend , we
are sure you will enjoy the festivities we have arranged . Below is
the agenda for the event

Friday May 2nd
We
have no formal events planned for today
as guest’s arrive
in the city of Venice throughout the day. We enclose several restaurant
suggestions for a little light fare in the evening. Gretta and I will
be at Café Quadri in St Marks between 10pm and 11pm to say
hello to anyone who feels like a nightcap. -----------------------
Saturday May 3rd
Dress code for the day :- smart casual
3.00 pm
the wedding ceremony will be held at
the Palazzo Cavalli at 3 pm. We would ask
all guests to arrive at 2.45pm. The Palazzo
overlooks the Rialto Bridge and can be
accessed either by walking to the Rialto bridge (10
mins from St Marks at a slow pace) or via
water taxi from the grand canal (please
see attached directions). Luisella or Michela who
are helping us co ordinate the event will
be on hand for direction advice at 2.30 pm at
Palazzo Cavalli
Following the ceremony we will have a short
photo opportunity.
5.00 pm
We invite guests to join us for a celebratory
glass of champagne and some canapés in a private room at Café Quadri
on St Marks Square.
7.30 pm
A celebration dinner and entertainment in the
exquisite surrounding of the Monaco and Grand
Canal restaurant.

Sunday May 4th
11.00 am
Dress code for the day :- casual and comfortable
We meet at 10.30 am at Piazza San Marco For
a tour of the islands of Torcello and Burano
for a traditional Italian pasta lunch at Al rono di Attilia. We
expect to be back in Venice
around 5pm
Monday May 5th
For those guests who have survived the festivities we have arrange
a 3 hr walking tour

Meet
your guide in St. Mark’s Square (exact point TBC)
for an introductory tour of Venice, its history and art, starting from
the most important area in the city, St Mark’s Square. You will
visit the main cathedral, St Mark’s church and view its wonderful
domes and vaults covered with gold mosaics. The tour also explores
the most important monuments in the square, including the Doge’s
palace, the ancient Prisons and the Bridge of Sighs. You can choose
to go and visit the museum of the Doge’s palace and its outstanding
rooms decorated with paintings by Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto among
the others. You can also choose to leave the square to see the beautiful
and charming districts that surround it: in particular the lovely small
square called Campiello Querini Stampalia, close to the renaissance
Querini palace and the lively Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Here you may
like visiting the museum of the Querini palace and its important art
and furniture collection as well as its hidden garden. We can end the
tour back in St Mark’s square with a drink in one of its 18th-century-founded
cafes. Tour duration: 3 hours.
